An activists' conference and discussion meeting of the Muksudpur Union Nationalist Jubo Dal (Youth Wing of BNP) was held in Dohar Upazila of Dhaka. The event was organized in a vibrant atmosphere on Saturday afternoon (July 11). Khandaker Abu Ashfaq, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Dhaka-1 constituency and President of the Dhaka District BNP, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Abu Hashem Bepari, Senior Vice President of the Dhaka District Jubo Dal, attended the conference as the special guest. Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Khandaker Abu Ashfaq openly addressed the party's performance in the region. He admitted that local organizational mistakes and strategic limitations were behind the party's inability to secure the expected results in the Muksudpur Union during the last national election. However, he urged the party members to learn from past shortcomings and expressed strong optimism about achieving a resounding success together in the coming days through unified efforts. In a notable part of his speech, the lawmaker highly praised various developmental and public welfare-oriented steps taken by the government within a short span of just four months, stating that the Prime Minister has successfully ushered in a tide of development across the country. Highlighting the upcoming major social safety net and economic welfare plans, Abu Ashfaq mentioned that 41 lakh families will soon be brought under the 'Family Card' coverage. Furthermore, 41.5 lakh farmers are set to receive 'Agricultural Cards,' and executive work has already commenced to waive agricultural loans of up to Tk 10,000, including interest. He also shed light on extensive social and educational reforms, noting that institutional honorariums for religious scholars (Ulema) have been established. Additionally, 'Youth Cards' for employment seekers, 'Student Cards' for academic support, and free education up to the degree level for female students have been ensured by the Prime Minister. Praising the national fiscal planning, the Dhaka-1 MP described this year's budget as the most balanced and beautiful national budget in the 55-year history of Bangladesh. Chaired by the central leaders of the Dohar Upazila Jubo Dal, the conference saw a massive turnout, with a large number of leaders, activists, and supporters from the local BNP, Jubo Dal, and its various affiliated organizations in attendance.
